And The Battle Begins...

And the first shots were fired today in that should be a long judicial confirmation hearing. The best part is if the Liberals try to filibuster we now have enough votes to kill the filibuster all together. http://committeeforjustice.org/cgi-data/blog/files/42.shtml

And Senator Byrd, the former KKK member is finally taking some heat for his stupid comments. I am willing to bet five dollars that he doesn't run next year. http://sundriesshack.com/index.php?p=1503

Syrian Backed Leadership Resigns

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,148962,00.html

The whole Lebanese Government is to resign after mounting pressure from the U.S. and the 25,000 protestors gathering in front of the late Prime Minister Rafik Hariri's grave. Gathering like this is illegal and might just start the Domino effect in the Middle East. More Later.

Re-drawing the district maps

This Gerrymandering is despicable, hopefully now the new Republican majority in the south can fix this mess. Too bad Maryland will remain this way for a while.

Dean thinks all of us are "Evil"

There were plenty of screams Friday afternoon at Liberty Hall, but none of them came from Howard Dean.

Instead, the new chairman of the Democratic National Committee was cheered enthusiastically by a sign-waving crowd gathered to hear Dean’s message that the party must build its strength in traditionally Republican states such as Kansas.
….
And concluding his backyard speech with a litany of Democratic values, he added: “This is a struggle of good and evil. And we’re the good.”

Apparently the former Governor of Vermont hasn't learned to keep his mouth shut. 2006 is going to be fun to watch.

Blizzard

Well, apparently theres a huge storm on its way up here. Somehow I doubt it's going to be as big as they say. Forecasters don't have a good track record up here.
